
LIL' FLYERS CLASS
Lil’ Flyers is the Virginia Beach Field House’s youth cheerleading program designed to teach essential cheer skills in a fun and energetic environment. Participants will learn key cheer terminology, master foundational movements, and practice basic tumbling techniques. The curriculum includes skill-building drills for jumps, stunts, and motions, helping young athletes develop strength, coordination, and confidence as they work on their cheer routines!
PROGRAM INFORMATION
SEASON INFORMATION
Enrollment is always open and classes are prorated!
- The program is designed for ages 5 to 12 years
- Classes are once per week and offered Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday

- Spaces are limited – register at the front desk or online to secure your spot.
- The class curriculum takes the participants through skill building activities each week.
- Times & classes are subject to change.

CLASS LEVELS & DESCRIPTIONS
Pee Wee (5-6 years old)
This class is a fun introduction to cheerleading for children 5-6 years of age. The cheerleaders will learn the basic elements of cheerleading such as motions, jumps, the count and simple cheers. They will learn a few side-line cheers throughout the season. Each week players should expect to learn new tumbling and cheerleading skills while reviewing the previously learned skills. The player will also learn a dance/cheer routine to be performed at the end of the season.
Junior Varsity (7-8 years old)
Varsity (9-12 years old)
PROGRAM POLICIES & RULES
Refund Policy:
- If a class is canceled, we will do our best to provide a make-up class. If we are unable to provide a make-up class, we will place a credit to your account for the canceled class. Participants who miss a class do not receive credit, and a make-up class will be dependent on the availability of the alternative class.
- Once a participant has committed (registered) to the program, refunds will not be offered, but requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We encourage you to use our Free Trial as a way to test the program before registering to make sure it is a good fit.
Trial Classes:
- All first-time trial classes are free, and must first be approved by the Youth Program Director or Coordinator
- Trial classes are dependent on space availability.
- A Field House waiver must be filled out prior to any trial class, either at our front desk or through DASH here.
Make-Up Classes:
- All make-up classes must be scheduled with the Youth Programs Director or Coordinator
- Make-up classes are dependent on space availability.
- Make-up classes do not carry over between sessions.
Registration
- No spaces in any class are guaranteed without payment as full payments are due at the time of registration. All registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- An annual Admin fee of $10 is required for all participants.
- Minimum of three children per class. If fewer than three are signed up after the third week, then you will be required to choose another time or you will receive an account credit!

WHAT TO BRING
- Participants can wear any athletic or active clothing they are comfortable moving around in.
- Be sure to bring a water bottle or sports drink for water breaks!
- Pom-poms are available for purchase for $15
