Want to play volleyball? The Virginia Beach Field House has you covered! Youth Volleyball provides structured play in both competitive and beginner formats in all age categories. League structure is centered around games, allowing youth players to play without the commitment of practices.
SEASON INFORMATION
WINTER II SEASON
Registration Opens: November 17
Registration Closes: December 22
League Start Date: January 12, 2025
Season: 5 Week Season – 10 match season. Week 6 – Playoff Week; the top 4-6 teams may advance to play in a playoff bracket based on court availability. *Please note: There will be no games memorial day weekend.
Game Days/Times: Sunday Afternoon starting at 3:15pm
Individual Fee: $79/Individual Player
* The Virginia Beach Field House does not issue cash refunds. We do not consider refunds unless the Virginia Beach Field House must cancel an event or program that is not rescheduled.
LEAGUE INFORMATION
- Must provide a birth certificate or government-issued ID to verify age
- Must have at least 6 players paid to be added to the schedule
- Recommended roster size is 6-10 players per team
- This is a game-only league. At this time, practices will be an additional fee at a reduced rate for all current teams in our Leagues. Please contact Leagues@beachfieldhouse.com, for more information.
- Schedules are located via your DASH account – click Member Login up top and then login. Once logged in, click your team name. Please do not print or take a screenshot of the schedule as it is subject to change.
- REFUND POLICY: The Virginia Beach Field House does not issue cash refunds. We do not consider refunds unless the Virginia Beach Field House must cancel an event or program that is not rescheduled.
- ** Please Note: Volunteer Adults are required to coach/manage all Virginia Beach Field House youth sports, including High School, to ensure player discipline, sportsmanship, and equitable playing time. No prior coaching experience is necessary. We are unable to provide coaches and t-shirts/uniforms at this time for our leagues.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
If Registering a New Team:
- If your team is not set up, please select: “Register a Team”
- Enter your team name and set the registration code
- Register yourself as Team Captain/Manager or Coach – by choosing the register button on the right of the league you registered your team for
If Joining a Team:
- If you are a player registering for an existing team, please select: “Join a Team”
- Please contact your coach, manager, or team captain to obtain the registration code
Registered Free Agents (individuals):
- If you are registering as a free agent/individual – we will look to place the free agent on a house team or an established team; however, we cannot guarantee placement on a team.
- Payment will not be taken until we are able to place the Free Agent on a team. Any player placed on a team without the consent of the coach will be removed from the team. In all cases placement is contingent upon enough registrants and/or a volunteer coach is confirmed.
- Please Note:
- Volunteer Adults are required to coach/manage all Virginia Beach Field House youth sports, including High School, to ensure player discipline, sportsmanship, and equitable playing time. No prior coaching experience is necessary.
- An Individual player cannot be added to any team without the coach’s/manager’s approval.
CLASSES
Youth Volleyball Level 1 Beginner Development – REGISTER ONLINE
Starts: Monday Classes start May 13 – June 17, 6-7 pm. – $25 per class
Youth Volleyball – Level 1 Beginners Development is designed for players ages 10 through 14 that are new to the sport of volleyball. The class focus will help develop the fundamental skills to progress into our Youth Leagues. Classes will be skill development with the progression into matches. Please note: There are no classes Memorial day week.
Volleyball Level 2 – REGISTER ONLINE
Starts: Tuesday Classes start May 14 – June 16, 6-7 pm. – $30 per class
The Virginia Beach Field House Level 2 Program provides the opportunity for intermediate players to sharpen their individual skills in a small group environment. Groups are designed to ensure maximum playtime, focused coaching, and tailored sessions to maximize potential growth. Level 2 program is intended to prepare players for school/travel tryouts, hone skills in a certain position, meet other experienced players, and prepare for situations that occur during competition. Please note: There are no classes Memorial day week.
Skills developed include:
- Consistent fast-paced serving
- Defensive positions and adapting to rival offense
- Setting rotations (5-1 , 6-2)
- Hitting techniques at various court locations
- At the end of the program, the team will demonstrate their progress against other Level 2 program attendees in a scrimmage game environment.
Classes are first come first serve.
Volleyball Level 3 (4 Week Program, smaller groups no more than 12, $100)
Starts: TBD.
The Virginia Beach Field House Level 3 program provides the opportunity for intermediate-level players to sharpen their individual skills in a small group environment. Groups are designed to ensure maximum playtime, focused coaching, and tailored sessions to maximize growth. The Level 3 program is intended to prepare players for school/travel tryouts by honing positional skill sets, as well as game-like scenarios.
Skills Developed include:
- Fast-paced serving
- Defensive positioning and adjustments
- Setting rotations
- Court-specific hitting techniques
DIVISION INFORMATION
Grassroots: Geared towards beginners and those new to the game of volleyball
- 10-13 // Coed Grassroots Division
- 14-16 // Coed Grassroots Division
Competitive: Geared towards more experienced players with some volleyball skills
- MS Coed Competitive Division
- High School Girls Competitive Division
VBFH GENERAL POLICIES
- All participants must pay their ADMINISTRATIVE FEES before they can play in any Virginia Beach Field House program.
- Any inappropriate language directed toward anyone in the facility is not tolerated and will result in a suspension from the facility.
- Intimidation or threatening behavior can result in a suspension from the facility.
- No metal studs or spikes will be allowed on any of our courts/turf fields. VBFH staff will make all determinations on permissible footwear.
- No jewelry can be worn during league play, unless covered with padded material.
- No clothing with pockets is permitted.
- No food or drink (unless bottled/covered) is allowed inside any of the players boxes or on the field at any time.
- Any ejection (albeit from a staff member or a referee) from the facility will result in a MINIMUM one (1) week suspension from the facility and an automatic one (1) game suspension. Multiple ejection consequences will be administered, as needed, by VBFH staff.
- Involvement in a fight will result in a MINIMUM one (1) year suspension from the facility. Involvement in a second (2) fight will result in a lifetime ban from the facility.
- At no time shall a spectator enter the field or speak with officials, coaches, or players. Any spectator that enters the field to confront an official or another player will result in a suspension from the facility.
